Bearing Service & Supply, Inc. is one of the nation’s leading independent distributors of bearings, power transmission equipment, and fluid power components. Founded in 1972 by John and Elsie Harkey, the company has been headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana, since its inception. In 1984, Bearing Service moved into its current 32,000-square-foot corporate facility at 1327 North Market Street.
Scott and Terry Harkey became the sole owners of the company in 2008; Scott serves as President and Jeffrey Brammer as Chief Operating Officer.
Today, Bearing Service & Supply is an ESOP company operating in six locations across Louisiana and East Texas. Locations feature full-service machine shop services, hydraulic hose fabrication, fluid power equipment repair, and employs more than 80 dedicated team members.

In 1984, the company moved the corporate headquarters to its current 32,000 square foot facility at 1327 North Market Street.
In 2008 Scott and Terry Harkey became the sole owners of the company. Tim McKenzie was promoted from Office Manager to Vice President to complete the management team. We operate six locations across Louisiana and East Texas, including full-service machine, hose fabrication, and fluid power repair shops with more than 80 employees.
